Chocolate-coated, Cheesy Chillies

Home sick today. Sigh... it's been so long since i fell sick that i have forgotten how to be sick. LOL... Had fever, slight sore throat, bad cough and blocked nose since the weekend but still had the energy to go back home, go to church, go to work for a short while. Decided to just stay home and rest today. the whole day was spent lying on the couch, drifitng in and outta sleep and craving for all kinds of food! LOL.. i thought sick meant lost of appetite! :-(

Well, it's the night now and I'm sick of being sick and having to stay at home! I can't wait for tomorrow to get back to work and run around. It's no fun being sick !!! (DUH!) Guess it's also coz i dun work for anyone but myself so i'm edgy about taking too much time off from work. Bad enough it's CNY week next week so that week of Feb's out.

Come 12 Feb will be my 1st yr 'anniversary' with AIA. Cool! I can only hope things will go even better from then on and success will bloom even more. Can't wait to see wat 2nd year has to hold for me!

Tt aside, i made a yummy pork/beef/tofu burger for bev's belated bday last week, and i'm proud to say it turned out nice!!! Poor jon had to be the guinea pig the first few times i was trying out the mix. So happy that i have a bf that doesn't complain being my experiment! hehehe... I think i shd start compiling my successful experiments in case i shd forget... yes, will do that!

Oh and we BTO'd for the Nov Punggol Sails/Ripples exercise and guess wat? Finally! we're number 00024! Can't believe my eyes man! Now just gotta wait to see how much loan we can take from HDB (since we just started with AIA a year ago so not very stable) and then to see if we can get the unit we want. Jon already has the address of the unit written down. Hopefully tt's be ours!!! :-D

Sigh... I accidentally upgraded my iphone to the 3.1.3 version just now while updating my itunes. They din ask me if i wanted to upgrade but just went ahead with it! ARGH!!! I spent SUPER long personalizing my phone and i've lost it all now :-(

The lucky thing is anyway i had planned to maybe take it down to singtel tomorrow to have it changed coz this phone was giving me trouble. sigh.. 3rd visit there to change. Hopefully from now on no prob.

Dun get me wrong, the iPhone rocks! just sometimes got small probs which i cannot stand so i'd rather change it then live with the prob. After all, we paid money for tt!!!!

2 more weeks to CNY. Haven't cleared the hse, haven't bought new clothes... shd do one of the mentioned soon. Just gotta find time and the energy to do so...

Oh and we finally got news on our latest bto.... no. 000024!! Cldn't believe my eyes, still can't believe it. i keep having this feeling that they'll call us or something and say it was a mistake! LOL. Keeping fingers crossed now and will see how!

We celebrated our 2nd year anniversary on Sunday. Took a lil trip up to KL for the night and returned the next day.

It was a wonderful trip, eventho it was super short. I think short is sweet.

Our bus was at 2pm and we took our fav bus-- translink solitaire. It actually is like the first class of an airplane where each of us has our own 'capsule' seats with vod and blankets... and the coach has a 'cabin crew' (that's wat they call themselves) with food served. Quite cool lah, just that they haven't changed their pgms since the last time we took e bus (i think half a year ago or so...)

Reached KL at about 7.30pm and took a cab to Parkroyal. The room's REALLY cool! Super King Size bed (if there is even a term for it). 3 ppl can sleep on it (coz there were 3 pillows on the bed) so i could roll from one end to the other and i'd be tired. Hahaha... so after checking in, we headed to the pavillion for dinner at La Bodega (Spanish food). We had their tapa promo which consisted of 3 tapas and a paella for 2. I had the sangria while Jon had some apple mexican alcohol drink thingy (will ask him then update here again...). His was SUPER yummy! So were the tapas!!! Unfortunately, the paella wasn't too gd... But will definitely return for more in future!

After tt, we went to Petaling St.. Sigh, the same shop we went to for watches was super disappointing... the guy was SUPER irritating in the end i decided not to buy from him! But did get my sunglasses tho. hahaha... i know it's fake but wait til i save up for the real sunglasses. :-p

With that, went back to the hotel and slept on my super huge bed! hehehe...

In the morning, we had papparich. Jon has his fav nasi lemak, while i order my char kway teow. Fd was yummy as usual, but wat i was looking forward to most was the papparoti!!!!! YUM YUM! Thinking of it makes me hungry! hahaha...

After breakfast, we took a lil walk to pavillion again to do some shopping and signed up for the times card (cheaper to get it fr malaysia but still same amt of discounts)... went back to check out at 3pm, then it rained!! There goes my last min shopping!!! Fell asleep in the hotel lobby. Hahaha... At 4 when the rain subsided, we crossed over to Sungei Wang plaza and took a short walk. After that, we walked to the bus station...

yes, we walked a lot but it was a very very nice getaway.. got to spend quality time together (eventho we meet everyday, it's just different when we're "overseas" lol...)

So there.... nice lil getaway for the 2 years anniversary.

Now that most things are outta the way (except CNY), it's time to work REALLY hard!!! Have a lot of goals to achieve!!!! :-p

WOW. Another yr has passed. Really quickly if i may add!!! I think for this year, my blog entries have gone down tremendously, i guess it's due to the change in career paths to AIA. So lemme try and recap all that's happened this year (even tho of coz, the most recent happenings are the freshest....)

So let's see....

Started out this year in AIA. Started learning a lot of stuff and getting into the swing of things... things started really slowly and fast forward through the months i gotta say i'm doing much better now and can proudly say that 2010 will be an even better year!!!! :-D

errr... arrrr.... ARGH! All i can remember is loads of cold calling (which over the time, it's getting more fun! LOL-- i shd log in a bk on how singaporeans react to ppl approaching them on the streets), a lot of appointments (some good, others wat scars that we can proudly show off in the future...), loads of classes... hmm...

I think only this last few days made me really stressful...

As usual, my aunt's family's out of town for about 2 weeks. This time they're in Japan and I'm taking care of their dog, fishes and car. Well, on xmas eve, we got into an accident. Ack! Some DUMB taxi driver (blue comfort cabbie) suddenly swerved into our lane just coz he saw a passenger on the left side of the road. Jon tried to swerve to the right to avoid the idiot but in the end the front left of the car got smashed! :-(

So we parked at the side and u know, when the cab driver stepped out, he was bloody haughty! I asked him for his IC and he told me "just take my car plate no and u can file it with the insurance. btw, u hit my back". What the!!!!!! He wasn't even apologetic about anything!!!!

Anyway, got the car towed, told our side of the story and since it was over the weekend, we only heard back from the workshop mon. Guess wat the cab driver claimed?! He said he was driving by the lefft side of the road SLOWLY and turned on his hazard light and we suddenly hit him. yeah so funny. Gimme a SAFE cab driver!!! anyway, luckily we have a witness so we're trying to fight the case now.

Besides that, due to really heavy rain, on Sun, my aunt's gate cldn't close properly!!! Panic again. Super stressed! Luckily in the end it was just a trip. Sigh...

Now just stressed over the claims against the stupid cab insurance. Let's see wat happens.

2 more days to end of 2009. I am certain and positive that 2010 will be a MUCH better year!!!!!

For Xmas, dad's buying mom another LV. And so i jokingly asked for one too and he said ok! LOL.

Anyway, dun think i'll be going for LV lah. Too ex for wat i'm looking at. I need to change my bag but still need one that fits A4 so I think bags of those size will be ex...

So i went to shop around for a short while this morning to see Loewe, coz i've always liked their logo ever since my very first muse inc event (which was the launch of the Loewe perfume)

So went into Loewe and saw the most beautiful bag (ok, to me lah)!!!! The Loewe Amazona! Walau, when i held it, i knew that it was the one i wanted! LOL.

Asked for the price. 2 5 9 0! LOL. 4 digits. Doubt i want daddy to spend that much for a bag for me lah. So i'll just have to save it up.

Did a search on the bag and it came back with many results... unfortunately, i think in sg only a few selections...

Went to G2000 in between work today cos they were having a pretty good sale. saw a nice little dress and a top and asked for m size. e salesauntie (yes, majority of them were salesaunties) asked me to try s as well. i was little reluctant but in e end still tried it. got a shocked cos S was too loose!!!! so in e end got XS. wow!!! i dropped two sizes!!! heh...

This is somethin quite funny... was in a rush to get over to jon's place and decided to bring my last two bananas along w me. walked along e road to get e cab and once i got in and was getting comfy, i realised "oh no!" one of e bananas slipped outta it's skin!

and then there was one...

reached jon's place and paid e cab driver and when i got to jon's place... i guess you've already guessed it. my other banana had also slipped out! ack! tt left me w e banana cob (dunno what's tt thing called so am doing a ris low)

how sad! moral of e story is... Eat your bananas at home or at least put them in a bag if you're bringing them out for a ride...

Wow! Technology nowadays really never fails to amaze me! just tried Skype on my mobile earlier on today and got to chat briefly w aunt lee lee and aunt mamek. So i got vox to see if they had a mobile application and yes they did! cool!

Definitely have a lot more entertainment while travelling from appt to appt!... well... provided my battery can last me e entire day w e amount of stuff i'm doing on it...

I think the new place has been an very inspiring place in terms of cooking. I'm now in this cooking craze stage in which i wanna try cooking new stuff and all..

Just the other day, tried my hands on making fish stock coz i din wanna use the cubes to make fish soup (MSG lah) so i tried... errrr.... i've yet to really taste it yet. Blame it on buying the wrong vege and wrong fish to cook my fish soup so in the end it came out a lil sweetish-bitterish. Yucks. Note to self: never buy china cabbage EVER.

So anyway, am now looking fora  culinary class in Singapore to learn western cooking. Heh... Grace has her baking craze and altho i love baking i dun have an oven, so i thought just use the kitchen to cook stuff lah. It's been fun. But cooking classes are expensive! There's a 6-module basic western class going for $700 and then a more than basic but yet foundation class (which by the way gives 2 Zwilling Henckel Knives and a wooden chopping board as part of the package) going at $1200!!! Really tempted to sign up... but we'll see lah....

So in the meantime, will just try out recipes from books and the internet and see how things goes lah. So far i've had mostly successful attempts at creating my own food so i'm still happy. Heh...
